October 14, 2017
at St. James Episcopal Church

The VCCD Committee cordially invites choirs and individual singers, organist, and choral directors to join the much-anticipated program of workshops, prayer and choral singing at St. James Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

A day of study, fellowship and music will conclude with a traditional service of Choral Evensong at 4:00 p.m.,  sung by the participants and open to the public. The Rt. Rev. Thomas C. Ely will officiate.

There is no charge for the day's events, but advance registration by choirs and individuals is necessary. Participants should bring a bag lunch. Beverages will be provided.

For registration, more information, a repertoire list and music files, please contact Carl Schwartz, Coordinator by email:  ruxtoncar@aol.com or by phone at 301-221-4815.

The Rev. Lisa Ransom Appointed
Interim Minister at St. James
The Vestry is pleased to announce that the Rev. Lisa Ransom has accepted appointment as half-time, Interim Minister at St. James, effective Sunday, October 29, 2017. As a member of the Transition Team, Rev. Ransom will play an important role in maintaining the vital programs of the congregation, reinforcing the ministry of the laity, and increasing the potential for a successful ministry by the next settled priest.
It is important to understand that the tasks of an Interim Minister are separate and distinct from the congregation's process to identify and select the next permanent Rector. The Interim Minister does not participate in the workings or deliberations of the Ministry Discernment Committee or Vestry, and the Interim Minister cannot become a candidate for the position.

Welcome to St. James Episcopal Church. Established on the green in Woodstock, Vermont in 1827, St. James is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont, a part of the world-wide Anglican Communion.
