Building Use

In addition to the many worship services and community events we host at St. James, we are pleased to offer the use of the building to community groups. The parish hall is an excellent meeting space, capable of accommodating 60 - 80 people. A newly-renovated kitchenette/butler's pantry is available adjacent to the parish hall for preparing coffee and staging ready-made finger foods. (The downstairs kitchen is under renovation, with an anticipated completion date of late summer 2024.)

We offer tables, chairs, and free WiFi. Technical assistance to set up presentations may be available on request, depending on staff availability. The building is also fully ADA compliant, with ramps and an elevator providing access to all levels.

Local organizations and groups which currently use our facilities include:

  • The Woodstock Garden Club

  • Norman Williams Public Library

  • Pentangle Arts Council

  • Upper Valley Waldorf School

  • Tai Chi

  • Yankee Driving School (Drivers' Ed classes)

  • AA (Tuesdays at noon)

Rental fees are very reasonable, and based on nonprofit status and use of kitchen spaces.
